WURLITZER SIDEMAN RHYTHM MACHINE

One of the very first drum machines, the Wurlitzer Sideman. Sounds were fully produced by tubes and rhythms were played back by a rotating wheel that shot a sound each time the brush touched a contact. Very fat sound and a piece of history !

The two different versions of the machine, the Texas Instruments Language Tutor  and the Language Translator.                     There were four different languages available, German, English, Spanish and French. Now with a sampled and looped clap on an Eprom chip. still uses mixable noise as sort of reverb. Also great for filtered noise bursts.
